Choose your favorite term to describe the gorgeous Rolls-Royce Dawn: opulent, exclusive, or exquisite. The Dawn, essentially a Wraith coupe below, boasts sheet metal curves and swoops, making it the "sexiest Rolls-Royce ever produced," in Rolls' words (and we don't necessarily disagree). The Dawn offers a sumptuous interior made of the finest materials, like the rest of the portfolio, but with an outside twist that makes it the go-to car for affluent sun-worshipers. Although it might not be the most cutting-edge convertible on the market right now in terms of technology, its unmistakable beauty, road presence, and cachet make it quite desirable.

Engine, Transmission, Performance

A 6.6-liter V-12 twin-turbocharged machine is located under the hood. With 563 horsepower, the Dawn is as fast as it is seductive. The Dawn accelerated to 60 mph on the test track in 4.3 seconds. Even over the roughest potholes, it cossets passengers with its elegant, methodical movement. The automated eight-speed transmission is adjusted for peace. When changing gears, the car uses GPS to consider the slope of the road, curves, and other factors. The Bentley Continental GT, which is both faster than the Dawn and sportier to drive, may be something to consider if you want a sharper, more athletic grand-touring convertible.

Interior, Comfort, Cargo

Access to Dawn's cabin, which has four adult seats, is made simple by rear-hinged doors. The stunning butter-soft leather and abundance of natural wood trim will astound visitors. Customers can choose thick lambswool floor mats that pamper anyone fortunate enough to ride along with them and front chairs with a massage feature. The Dawn's trunk is a bit on the small side for a big car (thanks to the convertible top), but it should still have room for a couple of carry-on baggage.
