Overview

The 2019 Lamborghini Huracán is a unique vehicle displayed on a dreamer's wall and kept in a venture capitalist's garage. After all, anything sporting the illustrious Lamborghini insignia is quickly recognized as being of the highest caliber. Nevertheless, the Huracán family has consistently demonstrated its high-performance heritage. This impressive cast starts with the eye-catching base coupe and convertible—in this case, spyder—variants and progresses to the track-oriented Performante and Performante Spyder. When the extensively updated Huracán goes on sale this spring, it will debut the mid-cycle upgrade. Many of the parts in the current lineup are still applicable to the most recent edition.

Engine, Transmission, Performance

There are various Huracán models for 2015-2019; each comes standard with a mid-mounted V-10. The naturally aspirated 5.2-liter engine in the rear-wheel-drive coupe and convertible produces 571 horsepower and is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive coupe and convertible's engine produced 602 horsepower, and during our instrumented test, the coupe accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The razor-sharp Huracán Performante and the drop-top Performante Spyder, which flaunt even more horsepower (631) and special track-focused equipment, were previously featured on our website. The coupe we tested at our yearly Lightning Lap event set a spectacular lap time, and every time we heard its powerful exhaust note, we felt drunk. All four wheels receive the 631 horsepower that powers the variant, which also has rear-wheel steering for increased agility.

Additionally, the most recent Huracán incorporates a predictive technology that instantly adjusts to driver inputs. Although its communicative chassis greatly impressed us, the lackluster steering feedback made us less enthusiastic. Instead, it turned out to be a forgiving machine that demanded we go beyond our comfort zones to be fully fulfilled.

Interior, Comfort, Cargo

The driver assistance features featured on more practical automobiles are absent from the Huracán. Instead, a variety of performance assistance on this thoroughbred supercar enables the driver to keep control at triple-digit speeds. The Lambo's complex motor and cutting-edge chassis are the epitome of high tech but explaining all these characteristics would take a technical encyclopedia. Several technical elements are also featured in its elaborate interior, some for display and most for use. Many quality material selections and adjustable features are among them. The Huracan features the most current infotainment system from the manufacturer, with a display that can operate several features and even support Apple CarPlay.
